2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp white vinegar
2 cups water

1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

3

Make three wells in the dry ingredients. In one well, pour the vegetable oil; in the second, add the vanilla extract; and in the third, add the white vinegar.

4

Pour the water over the entire mixture and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

5

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
