Today, variations can be found across the Middle East, with many adapting the fillings to include vegetables or different meats, showcasing the dish's versatility and global appeal.

Put a pan on medium heat and add 200 g of minced meat.
Add 1 cup of finely chopped onions and 1 teaspoon of finely chopped garlic.
Add 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper and 1 teaspoon of salt; mix well until the water has evaporated from the onion and the meat.
Switch off the fire and add 0.5 cup of green onions and 1 egg white; mix well.
Remove from the stove to cool down.
Prepare 400 g of puff pastry that has been cut in half.
Flour your counter and use a rolling pin to make two long pieces of dough.
Place one piece of dough on top of the other, ensuring the top dough is slightly larger.
Tuck the top dough underneath the bottom dough and press gently on the sides with a fork.
Move the stuffed pastry to a baking pan.
Mix 1 egg yolk with 1 teaspoon of milk and spread it on top of the puff pastry.
Preheat the oven to 225°C and place the baking pan inside.
Let it bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
