1 tbsp (12g) granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp yeast
1 egg
1 1/4 (280ml) water
5 1/2 cups (777g) all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp (22ml) vegetable oil
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, browned
1/2 cup ghee (samn)
2 tbsp oil
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp milk

Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let it sit until frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.

Add the yeast mixture, egg, water, and vegetable oil to the flour mixture and knead until a smooth dough forms.

Let the dough rise until doubled in size.

Prepare the butter filling by browning the butter and mixing it with ghee and oil.

Roll out the dough into thin layers, spreading the butter filling between each layer.
