Flaxseed meal is a great egg substitute for binding.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
Mix 4 cups of self-raising flour, 1 cup of sugar, and 150 g of butter until crumbly.
In a separate bowl, mix 4 eggs and 1 cup of milk together.
Create a hollow in the flour mixture and add the egg and milk mixture to form the dough for the crust.
Grease a casserole dish and press the dough into the dish, making the crust thicker than usual.
Bake the crust in the oven for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
Mix 150 g of custard powder with 4 cups of cold water and set aside.
Boil 6 cups of water and add 1 cup of sugar, stirring until dissolved.
Add 1 can of crushed pineapple to the boiling water and mix thoroughly.
Add the custard mixture to the pineapple mixture and stir to prevent sticking.
Add 1 cup of milk to lighten the color of the filling.
Pour the filling into the baked crust and let it cool until set.
Whip 500 ml of cream with 2 tablespoons of sugar and spread it on top of the pie.
Sprinkle crushed peanuts on top of the cream.
