Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Make the seasoning for the salmon by mixing 1 tablespoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 0.5 teaspoons of salt, and 0.25 teaspoons of black pepper.
Transfer the salmon onto a sheet pan.
Add about 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the salmon and massage it into the fish, ensuring some gets under the skin.
Generously apply the seasoning mixture onto the salmon.
Place the salmon in the oven and cook for about 11 to 15 minutes, checking for doneness.
While the salmon is cooking, prepare the avocado salsa by dicing half of a red onion and transferring it to a medium mixing bowl.
Dice one avocado and add it to the bowl with the onion.
Squeeze the juice of one whole lime into the bowl.
Add 0.25 cups of fresh chopped cilantro to the bowl.
Mix the avocado salsa gently.
Check the salmon for doneness using a digital thermometer, aiming for 135 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, or by flaking with a fork to see if it pulls apart easily.
Once cooked, flake the salmon and discard the skin.
Heat the corn tortillas over a low flame on the burner for about 2 minutes per side, then wrap them in a towel to keep warm.
Assemble the tacos by placing flaked salmon in the middle of each tortilla.
