Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and seal the edges by pressing down.
Heat oil in a deep pan for frying or preheat the oven to 375°F for baking.
If frying, carefully drop the patties into hot oil and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
If baking, place patties on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crisp.
Remove from oil or oven and drain on paper towels before serving.
