1

Wash and dry the whole fish thoroughly.

2

Prepare a marinade with 1 teaspoon garlic-ginger paste, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes, 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon cumin powder, and 1 teaspoon coriander powder.

3

Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the marinade and mix well.

4

Rub the marinade all over the fish, ensuring it is well coated on both sides.

5

Let the fish marinate for 15-20 minutes.

6

Wrap the marinated fish in aluminum foil.

7

Add water to a pot and bring it to a boil.

8

Place a stand in the pot and set the wrapped fish on top.

9

Cover the pot and steam the fish for 15 minutes.

10

After 15 minutes, check the fish; if it is not fully cooked, steam for an additional 5 minutes if needed.

11

Once done, remove the fish and if there is excess water, heat it in a pan to dry it out.
