1 egg
½ cup of milk

Slice the onion into ¼ inch slices and separate into rings.

In a bowl add flour, cornstarch, baking powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and ground black pepper. Add in the egg and milk, then whisk until combined.

In a heavy-bottomed pot heat your oil to 325°.
