Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in vanilla extract and milk until combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until smooth.
Fold in the cherries and kirsch gently.
Pour the batter into the prepared tart pan.
Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of the batter.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
