24 servings
Servings4
1 cup super soft butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp table salt
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 cups all-purpose flour

Quantities are estimated based on standard recipes for your convenience. The actual ingredients used in this video are accurate.

1

Preheat the oven to 250-300°F, then turn it off and place a bowl of diced butter inside to soften it until it reaches a mayonnaise-like consistency.

2

In a mixing bowl, add the softened butter and table salt. Mix for 2-3 minutes until the salt is mostly dissolved, checking for granules with your fingers.

3

Add sugar to the butter and mix until incorporated without heavy blending.

4

Sift together cornstarch and all-purpose flour in a separate bowl.

5

Add the sifted flour and cornstarch to the butter mixture and mix until just incorporated, being careful not to overwork the dough.

6

Prepare a baking pan (6x10 inches or similar) by greasing it with butter or cooking spray.

7

Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan to about 2/3 inch thick.

8

Cut the pressed dough into fingers or strips before baking.
