Ghee offers a rich flavor without dairy.
Add 3 tablespoons of butter into a microwavable bowl and microwave for about 30 seconds until melted.
Add all-purpose flour to a large mixing bowl.
Add granulated sugar, instant yeast, salt, and milk powder to the bowl.
Mix until all dry ingredients are combined.
Pour in warm milk and warm water, then add the melted butter and mix well using a wooden spoon until absorbed.
Transfer the dough onto a floured working surface and add flour until the dough is no longer sticky.
Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth.
Tuck the dough underneath to form a ball and place it in a greased bowl with vegetable oil.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide it into two portions.
Lightly flour a baking tray and form the dough portions into balls, then flatten slightly.
Cover with a dish towel and proof for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).
Brush warm water over one dough piece and sprinkle with poppy seeds and sesame seeds.
Repeat for the other dough piece, then bake for 35 minutes.
Brush melted butter over the baked naan while still hot and cover with a dish towel for 5 minutes to soften.
