Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2Whisk egg whites in a bowl until frothy.
- 3Gradually add sugar while continuing to whisk until stiff peaks form.
- 4Mix in vanilla extract and salt until combined.
- 5Sift flour into the egg mixture and gently fold until just combined.
- 6Melt butter and fold into the batter until smooth.
- 7Spread a thin layer of batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 8Bake for 5-7 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- 9Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before shaping.
- 10Melt chocolate in a double boiler until smooth.
- 11Spread melted chocolate on one side of the cookie and sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts.
- 12Roll the cookie into a cylinder shape while still warm and let cool completely.
