1 stick of butter
2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream
3/4 cup of packed brown sugar
1 cup of dark corn syrup
2 cups of pecans
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1 box of butter recipe cake mix (Duncan Hines)
1 stick of melted butter
1 1/2 cups of pecans

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Spray a 9 by 13 pan with cooking spray.

Gather all ingredients: 4 eggs, 1 stick of butter, 2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream, 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar, 1 cup of dark corn syrup, 2 cups of pecans, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.

In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients except the pecans until blended, being careful not to over mix.

Stir in 2 cups of pecans until they are coated with the mixture.

Pour the mixture into the prepared 9 by 13 pan.

Take a box of butter recipe cake mix and evenly sprinkle it on top of the pecan filling.

Melt another stick of butter and pour it over the cake mix, trying to cover it as evenly as possible.

Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups of pecans on top of the melted butter and cake mix.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, cover the dish with aluminum foil and return it to the oven for another 20 minutes.

After the additional 20 minutes, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
