Maple Brown Sugar Granola Clusters

The combination of maple syrup and brown sugar in these clusters adds a uniquely sweet and rich flavor that elevates the granola experience. Today, granola is a beloved staple for breakfast and snacking, often customized with various ingredients to suit individual tastes.

Add 1/2 cup of canola oil to a pan over low heat and bring to a simmer.
Add 1/2 cup of maple syrup and 1 cup of light brown sugar to the pan and stir until the sugar is melted into the syrup.
In a separate bowl, combine 3 cups of old-fashioned oats, 1/2 cup of wheat germ, and 2 tablespoons of flax seed, stirring to incorporate.
Once the mixture in the pan has simmered, remove it from heat and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, stirring to combine.
Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until all oats are coated with the syrup mixture.
Prepare an 11x9 or 13x9 lasagna pan by spraying it with non-stick cooking spray and lining it with parchment paper.
Transfer the granola mixture to the prepared pan, spreading it out and pressing it down firmly into the corners.
Bake in a 300°F oven for about 45 minutes, rotating the pan every 15 minutes for even cooking.
Remove from the oven when golden brown and let it cool in the pan before unmolding and breaking into clusters.
