Baked Spaghetti

1 small onion
1 bell pepper (part green, part red)
pinch of salt
1 pound ground beef
granulated onion powder
garlic powder
cracked black pepper

32 ounce jar marinara sauce
water (to swirl with marinara)
1 pound spaghetti
salt (for pasta water)
16 ounce container Alfredo sauce
8 ounces fine shredded mozzarella cheese
Montreal chicken seasoning

Preheat a pan and add a little cooking oil.

Saute 1 small onion and 1 bell pepper (part green, part red) with a pinch of salt.

Optionally add fresh garlic or use garlic powder instead.

Add 1 pound of ground beef to the pan and season with granulated onion powder, garlic powder, more salt, and cracked black pepper.

Break apart the ground beef and cook it, adding dried Italian herb blend.

Add a 32 ounce jar of marinara sauce to the cooked beef, swirl in a little water, and mix well.

Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning, possibly adding sugar. Let it simmer for 15 minutes.

Prepare pasta water with salt and add 1 pound of spaghetti, cooking to desired doneness.

Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and mix with a 16 ounce container of Alfredo sauce and 8 ounces of fine shredded mozzarella cheese, adding some pasta water to help mix.

Add Montreal chicken seasoning to the pasta mixture.

In a baking dish, layer some meat sauce at the bottom, followed by the pasta mixture, and top with more mozzarella cheese.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and bake uncovered for about 20 minutes until bubbly and crispy on top.

Once done, let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
