1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon turmeric
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 medium onion
3 tablespoons cooking oil

Soak white chickpeas and red lentils with baking soda in warm water for 4-5 hours.

Drain the water and rinse the chickpeas and lentils.

In a pressure cooker, add soaked chickpeas and lentils with about 5-6 cups of water.

Add spices: crushed red chili, salt, cumin powder, fenugreek, coriander powder, chicken powder, nutmeg, black pepper, and turmeric.

Mix well and add half a cup of tomato paste.

Close the pressure cooker and cook on medium flame for 20-25 minutes after the first whistle.

In a separate pan, heat cooking oil and slice a large onion finely.
