Parboiled Nettles
Quantities are estimated based on standard recipes for your convenience. The actual ingredients used in this video are accurate.
Wear gloves to handle the nettles to avoid stinging.
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
Add 1 tsp of salt to the boiling water.
Carefully add the nettles to the boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
Remove the nettles from the pot and drain in a colander.
Once cooled, squeeze out excess water from the nettles and chop coarsely.
In a skillet, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the chopped nettles to the skillet and season with black pepper.
Sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Serve warm as a side dish or incorporate into other recipes.
