Measure 1 cup of flour, scoop it, level it, and add it to a bowl.

Add 1 cup of sugar to the bowl.

Add 1/2 cup of cocoa powder to the bowl.

Add 2 teaspoons of baking powder to the bowl.

Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the bowl.

Add 1 egg to the mixture.

Pour in 1 cup of whole milk.
