Preheat the oven to a moderate temperature.

Crack 4 eggs directly into a buttered fireproof dish.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Add half of the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the eggs.

Add half of the parsley on top of the cheese.

Measure and drizzle 3 tablespoons of cream over the mixture, seasoning with more salt and pepper.

Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and parsley, and dot with butter.

Bake in the oven until the eggs are set.
