If you don't have a microwave, prepare a double boiler with a saucepan and water to melt the chocolate.

Heat about 8 to 10 ounces of chocolate in the microwave for 30 to 45 seconds, stir, then heat for another 15 seconds, and stir again until melted, being careful not to scorch it.

Pour the melted chocolate over the Chex cereal in the bowl and gently toss to coat every piece without breaking them.

Add 8 to 9 ounces of vanilla pudding mix to the chocolate-coated cereal and toss until fully coated, checking for any dry pudding mix at the bottom of the bowl.

Let the mixture sit for 10 to 20 minutes to harden before serving.
