Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a bowl, combine 4.5 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 0.25 teaspoon of salt.
In another bowl, whisk together 2 eggs and 1 cup of sugar until fluffy.
Add 0.5 cup of melted butter and 1 cup of sour cream to the egg mixture and combine.
Roll the dough into six identical pieces, making them the size of the cookie sheet.
Bake each layer for 6-8 minutes until lightly colored.
In a pot, bring 3 cups of milk to a boil.
Add the mixture of butter, dark chocolate chunks, and a splash of rum to the boiling milk and stir until thickened.
Use the filling while it's still hot to layer between the baked pieces.
Place the last layer on top without filling, cover with parchment paper and a cookie sheet for weight, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
Melt 0.5 cup of chocolate and 0.25 cup of butter in boiling water, then add 0.25 cup of sugar and optional water to smooth it out.
Trim the edges of the cake for a neat appearance.
