1

Prepare the marinade by mixing 2 cups of soy sauce, 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce, 2 tsps of ground black pepper, 2 tsps of granulated garlic, 1 tsp of red pepper flakes, and 2 tsps of liquid smoke.

2

Trim excess fat from about 5 lbs of eye of round beef and slice it into strips between 1/8 and 1/4 inch thick.

3

Place the beef strips into a marinating container and pour the marinade over them, mixing well to ensure all pieces are coated.

4

Cover and refrigerate the marinated beef overnight.

5

The next day, drain excess marinade and pat the beef strips dry with a paper towel to remove moisture.

6

Arrange the beef strips on dehydrator racks in a single layer.

7

Set the dehydrator to 160°F and dehydrate the beef for 6 to 7 hours, checking at the 3-hour mark for doneness.
