BLT Sandwich

6 slices thick sliced bacon
2 ciabatta rolls
leaves of Roma lettuce
1 large ripe tomato

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Layer 6 slices of thick sliced bacon on a baking sheet.

Bake the bacon in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until crispy, checking at 15 minutes.

While the bacon is cooking, prepare the tomato by peeling it and removing the core.

Cut the tomato into thick slices, approximately 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch thick.

Place the tomato slices on paper towels and sprinkle with salt and pepper to enhance flavor and release juices.

Wash the Roma lettuce and prepare it for the sandwich.

Split the ciabatta rolls open and toast them in a toaster until lightly crispy, to your liking.

Once the bacon is done, pat it to remove excess grease.

Spread a generous amount of mayonnaise on the toasted ciabatta rolls.

Pat the tomato slices with a paper towel to remove excess juice before assembling the sandwich.

Layer the lettuce leaves on the bottom half of the ciabatta roll, followed by a thick slice of tomato, and then add three slices of bacon on top.
