Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2In a bowl, sift together all-purpose flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. 4Add molasses, eggs, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture; mix until well combined.
  5. 5Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture; stir until just combined.
  6. 6Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. 7Roll each portion in granulated sugar before placing on the sheet.
