Pigs in a Blanket

1 package of mini sausages
1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 cup of diced green chile peppers
1 egg, beaten
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: dipping sauce, herbs, or cheese for garnish

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.

Cut each triangle into three smaller triangles.

Sprinkle a little bit of diced green chile pepper on each triangle.

Place a mini sausage on the wide end of each triangle.

Roll up the dough, tucking in the ends to seal the sausage inside.

Place the pigs in a blanket onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops of the pigs in a blanket with the beaten egg.

Sprinkle salt and pepper on top of the pigs in a blanket.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the sausages are cooked through.

Let cool for a few minutes, then serve with your desired dipping sauce, herbs, or cheese for garnish.
