Boil lightly salted water in a large pot.

Add a splash of oil to the boiling water.

Add egg noodles to the pot and cook for about 8 minutes, checking for al dente texture.

Drain the noodles and do not rinse them with cold water.

Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Add breadcrumbs to the melted butter and toast until golden brown, stirring frequently to avoid burning.

Remove some toasted breadcrumbs for topping later.

Add another 3 tablespoons of butter to the skillet with the toasted breadcrumbs.

Add cooked noodles to the skillet with the breadcrumbs and butter.

Season with black pepper to taste and add grated parmesan cheese.

Sprinkle parsley flakes over the noodles and mix well.

Serve the noodles topped with the reserved toasted breadcrumbs.
