Prepare the marinade by mixing together 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder, 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning, 1/2 cup worcestershire sauce, hot sauce to taste, seasoning salt, 1 1/2 tablespoons dijon mustard, and liquid smoke to taste in a measuring cup.
Rub the marinade over both sides of the pork spare ribs using gloves.
Cover the ribs with aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (up to 24 hours for best results).
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
After marinating, let the ribs sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before cooking.
Cover the ribs with aluminum foil and place them in the oven for 2 hours.
After 1 hour, remove the foil to allow the ribs to brown and crisp up.
While the ribs are cooking, prepare the homemade barbecue sauce by combining 8 ounces tomato sauce, 6 ounces tomato paste, 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce, hot sauce to taste, 1/4 cup keto syrup, 1/4 cup honey, and 1/4 cup cherry coke in a saucepan.
Whisk the ingredients together and bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let cook until thickened.
Once the ribs are done, slather the homemade barbecue sauce over them and return to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes.
