EBBEH RECIPE: IRRESISTIBLE GAMBIAN SOUP WITH SEAFOOD & CASSAVA

Cut cassava into tiny pieces.
In a cooking pot, add a little water to cook the cassava.
Add pre-cleaned crabs to the pot.
Add half a cup of salt seasoning.
Add cleaned shrimp to the pot.
Add clams, some removed from their shells and some left in their shells.
Cover the pot and let everything cook for about 30 minutes.
Check on the cassava and gently turn it to blend with the seafood.
Add Magi powder to enhance flavor.
Chop fresh habanera chilies and add them to the pot.
Add fresh peppers and stir everything together.
Add more water to ensure there is enough liquid for cooking and creating stock.
Prepare tamarind by cleaning the paste and blending it with fresh lemon juice.
Strain out the seeds to leave a smooth tamarind liquid.
Add the tamarind liquid to the cooking pot for tangy flavor.
Add smoked mackerel, carefully removing it from the bones and adding it piece by piece.
Add smoked salmon to the pot.
Check the salt level and adjust if necessary.
Stir everything together and let it cook for a few minutes.
Add palm oil and cook until the red color comes out.
