Marinate chicken in salt and water for about an hour, then drain.
Add turmeric, salt, pepper, and olive oil to the chicken and marinate overnight.
Heat olive oil in a pan and add the marinated chicken.
Chop half an onion into small pieces and add to the chicken.
Cook chicken on low heat for about 10 minutes, adding chopped tomatoes.
Add a small teaspoon of sugar to balance the bitterness of the tomatoes.
Add chili powder to taste.
Add water to the sauce and chicken as needed.
Peel and clean potatoes, leaving them whole, and add them to the pot.
Chop carrots into large chunks and add them to the pot.
Add a whole head of garlic to the pot.
Add hot water and marinade from the chicken to the pot.
Prepare couscous by adding half a kilo to a bowl with a pinch of salt, black pepper, turmeric, and a generous amount of olive oil.
Mix couscous until it resembles wet sand.
Steam couscous in a pot with water, covering it with a lid.
Add squash cut into halves to the steamer with the couscous.
