Measure out 230 g of butter and cube it.
Use a pastry cutter to work the butter into the flour and sugar mixture for about 5 minutes.
Microwave 1/4 cup of butter for 30 seconds to partially melt it and let it cool.
Soak raisins in warm water until the edges turn white, then set aside.
Crumple parchment paper to fit into the baking dish, cutting corners for a snug fit.
Press the crust mixture into the baking dish, making sure to pack it well and create sides.
Bake the crust at 350°F for 15-20 minutes until it starts to get golden.
In a stand mixer, slightly beat the eggs and slowly add the cooled butter to avoid scrambling.
Add 1/4 cup of corn syrup and 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract to the egg mixture.
Mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, keeping the mixer on low to avoid foam.
Fold in 1 cup of pecans and the soaked raisins after patting them dry with a paper towel.
Pour the filling over the baked crust and smooth it out.
