250 ml beef stock made from 1 stock cube
3 cloves garlic crushed
120 ml soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
75 g soft brown sugar
350 g frozen or fresh broccoli florets
2 tbsp cornflour
2 spring onions optional for garnish
1 tbsp sesame seeds optional for garnish

Add the raw beef directly to the slow cooker.

Make the sauce: in a jug or bowl, whisk together the beef stock, garlic, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil. Pour over the beef and stir.

Put the lid on and cook on HIGH for 4 hours, or LOW for 6 hours, or until the beef is tender.

To thicken up the sauce stir in some cornflour by removing approximately 60ml of sauce from the slow cooker. Stir in 2 tbsp of cornflour and whisk with a fork until smooth and there are no lumps, then stir back into the slow cooker.

Stir in the broccoli and cook for a further 20-30 minutes until the sauce thickens and the broccoli is tender.
