Heat oil in a large pot.
Add 3 to 5 chopped onions and sauté.
Add 2 cinnamon sticks, 2 dried lemons, and 2 bay leaves.
Add 3 to 5 cardamom seeds and sauté with onions.
Add 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder and 1 teaspoon ginger powder.
Add 1 teaspoon paprika powder and 1 teaspoon salt.
Add chicken pieces and cook until browned.
Add blended tomatoes and tomato paste, stirring to combine.
Add diced potatoes, green bell pepper, and carrots.
Pour in water and bring to a boil.
Simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
