Cut the chicken thigh fillets into small bite-sized pieces.
Add a generous pinch of freshly ground black pepper to the chicken.
Add 1 teaspoon of sweet ground paprika to the chicken.
Add 1 teaspoon of dried ground garlic to the chicken.
Add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce to the chicken.
Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the chicken.
Add 1 tablespoon of honey to the chicken.
Thoroughly rub the seasonings into the chicken and set aside for a couple of minutes.
Rinse 1 cup of rice well.
Add 1 teaspoon of sweet ground paprika to the rice.
Add a little over 1/3 teaspoon of salt to the rice.
Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the rice.
Mix the rice with the seasonings.
Grate 1 carrot on a medium grater and add it to the rice.
Mix the rice with the grated carrot.
Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil.
Transfer the rice with carrots and seasonings into the baking dish and spread it out.
Cut half an onion in half and add it to the rice.
Pour 2 cups of hot water over the rice.
Layer the fragrant chicken pieces on top of the rice.
Cover the dish with baking foil or a lid.
Bake in a preheated oven at 220° C (428° F) for 50 minutes.
Chop some green onions and parsley to add after baking.
If baked covered with foil, leave the dish uncovered for a few more minutes to brown the top.
