Garlic Butter Pasta

5 pcs bacon, cut in stripes
2 tbsp breadcrumbs
1 tbsp olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 fresh lemon juice
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried red chilis (optional)
100g unsalted butter
5g parsley leaves
250g fettuccine or pasta of choice
salt to taste

Place a cooking pan over medium-high heat. Add sliced bacon, fry until lightly browned.

Add olive oil, followed by breadcrumbs, mix to combine, then add dried oregano, continue frying until everything is golden and crispy. Remove from pan and place into bowl, set aside.

Bring a pot of water to a boil over high heat. Cook pasta according to the package instructions.

Meanwhile, place a large frying pan over medium-high heat, add butter.

Bring butter to a foamy stage, stirring occasionally.

Add garlic, sauté in butter, then add red chili flakes (optional), mix frequently.

Season with salt and fresh lemon juice.

Add the pasta straight from the water into garlic butter sauce, add bacon with breadcrumbs, mix well to combine.

Top with chopped parsley.
