Varalakshmi Vratam Prasadam

Prepare the banana leaves by washing and cutting them into squares.
Mix rice flour and water to form a smooth dough.
Add salt and baking soda to the dough and knead well.
Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each into a disc.
Heat ghee in a pan and fry cashews and raisins until golden.
In a separate pot, boil milk and add jaggery to dissolve.
Combine the jaggery syrup with the dough discs and mix well.
Shape the mixture into small round balls or modaks.
Steam the shaped prasadam in a steamer for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
Allow the prasadam to cool slightly before serving.
Offer the prasadam as a part of the Varalakshmi Vratam ritual.
