Stir continuously for about 30-40 minutes until it thickens and darkens.
Add sugar and salt, mixing well to incorporate.
Continue stirring for another 10-15 minutes until the mixture is glossy.
Incorporate vegetable oil for richness and flavor.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
Garnish with nuts, dried fruits, and spices as desired.
