Buy 1,000 of waterleaf and slice it after sorting.

Purchase afang leaves (okazi) from the market.

Grind afang leaves with pepper and crayfish using a local grinder.

Steam beef for 3 minutes until it releases its own water.

Add stock fish and 1 cup of water to the beef and boil for 5 minutes.

Add dried fish and allow to cook for 20 minutes.

Chop crayfish using a chopper without grinding it fully.

Add palm oil to the pot and cover to cook for 5 minutes.

Add waterleaf and steam for 50 seconds to 1 minute, avoiding overcooking.

Mix waterleaf with other ingredients in the pot, pushing afang leaves to the bottom.

Test the soup and add remaining pepper, crayfish, and more palm oil as needed.

Cover and cook for an additional 30 seconds before serving.
