Pour 3/4 cup sugar into the holes of the apples and around them.

Once boiling, lower the heat and cook the apples for about 20-25 minutes, gently turning them to color evenly.

Check the apples after 10-12 minutes, turning them over to get more color.

After 5 more minutes, turn them again and let the syrup thicken without closing the lid.
