In a mixing bowl, add 2 and 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt and mix well.
In a separate container, heat 3/4 cup of milk and 3 tablespoons of butter in the microwave until the butter melts.
Once warm, add instant yeast to the milk mixture and mix well.
Pour the milk mixture over the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl.
Add 1 egg and mix thoroughly into a soft dough. If needed, add a few tablespoons of water to make the dough more pliable.
Cover the dough with a lid and let it rest for 10 minutes.
For the filling, take 1/3 cup of brown sugar and 3 tablespoons of cinnamon powder and mix well.
After the dough has rested and risen slightly, sprinkle a little flour on the work surface.
Place the dough on the floured surface and knead gently by hand for 3 minutes until a soft dough forms.
Roll the dough out as shown in the video.
Top the rolled dough with softened butter and the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Roll up the dough tightly and use a sharp knife to cut it into 10 to 12 rolls.
Arrange the rolls in a slightly greased baking pan.
Cover the pan with a lid or aluminum foil and let the rolls rise in a warm place for 60 to 90 minutes or until they double in size.
Once the rolls have doubled, preheat the oven to 375°F.
Bake the rolls for 25 to 27 minutes or until slightly brown.
Meanwhile, prepare the vanilla glaze by taking 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and adding 3 tablespoons of milk, 4 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
Once the cinnamon rolls are baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Using a knife or icing spatula, spread the glaze over the warm rolls and serve immediately.
Store the cinnamon rolls at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
If the center of the cinnamon rolls puffs up while baking, it may be due to rolling the dough too tightly or if the pan is too small or crowded. Fix this by gently pressing down on the risen parts with the back of a spoon.
