  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
  2. 2Add the chilled butter to the flour mixture and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3Gradually add ice water, mixing until the dough comes together. Form into a disk, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
