Samosas are a beloved snack in Pakistan, often enjoyed during festivals and family gatherings. Their origins trace back to the Middle East, where they were filled with meat and spices. Over time, the Pakistani version has evolved, typically featuring a spiced potato and pea filling. Today, they are a staple at street food stalls and homes alike, celebrated for their crispy exterior and flavorful filling, making them a favorite among all ages.

Boil potatoes and peas until tender.
In a mixing bowl, add 2 cups of flour and some salt; mix well.
Add 1/2 cup of vegetable oil to the flour mixture and mix until crumbly.
Gradually add water to the mixture to form a smooth dough, adjusting as necessary.
Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a skillet and add cumin seeds; wait for them to splutter.
Add chopped green chilies and onions to the skillet; sauté until fragrant.
Add ginger, potatoes, turmeric, coriander powder, and salt to the skillet; mix well.
Add lemon juice and adjust seasoning; let the filling cool.
Divide the dough into balls and roll each into a thin circle; cut each circle in half.
Form a cone with one half-circle and seal the edge with water.
Fill the cone with the potato mixture and seal the top by pinching the edges.
Heat oil in a deep pan until hot; fry the samosas until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per batch.
Remove the samosas and drain on paper towels before serving.
