1

Drizzle oil into a large frying pan.

2

Chop 1 onion and add it to the frying pan, frying for a few minutes.

3

Add 300 g fish pie mix (haddock, cod, and salmon) to the frying pan and fry for about 5 minutes until the fish is cooked on the outside.

4

Remove from heat and pour the fish and onions into an oven dish, filling it halfway.

5

Add 100 g precooked prawns and a generous helping of frozen peas to the oven dish.

6

Prepare a basic white sauce with 300 g semi-skimmed milk, 25 g butter, and 25 g flour, then stir it into the fish mixture.

7

Hard boil 2 eggs, remove the shells, and cut the eggs into slices.

8

Lay the sliced eggs on top of the fish mixture in the oven dish.

9

Sprinkle fresh parsley over the eggs.

10

Boil 2 medium-sized potatoes for 20 minutes, then mash them until smooth.

11

Spread the mashed potatoes over the top of the fish mixture, using a spatula to smooth it out.

12

Use a fork to rough up the top of the mashed potatoes to help it crisp up in the oven.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).

14

Bake the fish pie in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, keeping an eye on it to ensure nothing burns.
