Traditionally served as a family meal, it has become popular for gatherings and potlucks, adapting to local tastes with the addition of cheese and tomato sauce.

Heat a small amount of olive oil in a skillet.
Add bacon to the skillet and fry until crispy.
Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Add 1 chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 2 minutes.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of paprika to the onion mixture.
Add 1 teaspoon of oregano and stir well.
Add 1 can of tomato sauce to the skillet and adjust salt to taste.
Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
Prepare 1 kg of gnocchi, ensuring it's loose and not stuck together.
Tear basil leaves to release their aroma and add to the sauce before turning off the heat.
In a baking dish, spread a layer of sauce on the bottom.
Add the gnocchi on top of the sauce layer.
Pour the remaining sauce over the gnocchi.
Top with mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
