They are made by coating apples in a sticky caramel sauce, often enjoyed at fairs and festivals. The combination of sweet caramel and crisp apples creates a delightful contrast that appeals to both children and adults.

Soak the apples in room temperature water and spray with veggie wash, lathering thoroughly.
Rinse the apples in water like shampooing hair and dry with a towel.
In a pot of boiling water, add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and 2 tablespoons of baking soda.
Insert the wooden candy apple sticks into the apples before placing them in boiling water for 10 seconds.
Remove the apples from boiling water and dip them in an ice water bath, then dry them off again.
Leave a small ring at the top of the apple if desired for aesthetics, or coat the whole apple in caramel if preferred.
To prepare apple pops, squeeze half a lemon into a bowl of cold water and soak peeled apples to prevent browning.
Peel the apples and use a melon baller to scoop out shapes, leaving enough space between cutouts.
Insert the candy apple sticks into the center of the scooped apples, creating a hole for the lollipop stick.
Keep the apple pops in the freezer for 30 minutes before dipping to prevent them from becoming mushy.
Melt 2 sticks of butter in a pot over medium-medium-low heat.
Add 2 cups of dark brown sugar to the melted butter and stir until combined.
Pour in 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup of light corn syrup, along with 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Constantly stir the caramel mixture, scraping the sides and bottom to prevent burning.
Clip on a candy thermometer and wait for the caramel to reach between 230 to 240 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once the caramel reaches the desired temperature, allow it to cool slightly to around 190 degrees for dipping.
Swirl the apple pops in the caramel to completely cover them, then add toppings as desired.
