1 kg chicken
2 cups sela rice
2 medium tomatoes
1 onion
5 cardamom pods
1 stick cinnamon
black pepper
2 tsp cumin
salt
lemon juice
2 cups chickpeas
2 tbsp ghee

Start by preparing 1 kg of chicken, cut into pieces.

Soak 2 cups of sela rice for 1 hour before cooking.

In a pot, add 2 tbsp of ghee and heat it.

Add 1 chopped onion and sauté until light brown.

Add 2 medium chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.

Add 5 cardamom pods, 1 stick of cinnamon, and black pepper to the pot.

Mix in 2 tsp of cumin and salt to taste.

Pour in enough water to cover the chicken and bring to a boil.

Once boiling, add the chicken pieces and cook until tender.

In a separate pot, add the soaked sela rice and 3 cups of water.

Bring the rice to a boil, then reduce heat and cover to simmer until cooked.

Once the chicken is cooked, mix it with the rice and let it steam together for a few minutes.
