  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1/4 cup chili oil
  • 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. 2Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center.
  3. 3Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half to form a triangle, and press to seal. Then, bring the two corners of the triangle together and pinch to seal, forming a wonton.
  4. 4Repeat the process until all the filling is used up.
  5. 5In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Carefully add the wontons and cook for about 5-6 minutes or until they float to the surface and are cooked through.
  6. 6While the wontons are cooking, prepare the chili oil sauce by combining chili oil, Sichuan peppercorns, rice vinegar, and sugar in a bowl. Stir well to combine.
  7. 7Once the wontons are cooked, use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a serving dish.
  8. 8Drizzle the chili oil sauce over the wontons and garnish with additional chopped green onions if desired.
  9. 9Serve immediately and enjoy your Sichuan Spicy Wontons!
