Cut the firm tofu in half lengthwise.

Slice the tofu into pieces about 1.5 centimeters thick.

Rotate the tofu and cut it into bite-sized cubes and set aside.

Make the seasoning by mixing soy sauce, sugar, cornstarch, water, and ground white pepper in a bowl until the sugar is dissolved, then set aside.
