Choreg is a traditional Armenian sweet bread, often prepared for Easter and special occasions. Its unique flavor comes from mahlab, a spice made from ground cherry pits, which adds a distinct aroma. This bread symbolizes the joy of celebration and is enjoyed by families during festive gatherings. In modern times, choreg has gained popularity beyond Armenia, with variations found in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines, showcasing its adaptability and enduring appeal.
