This dish reflects the rich agricultural heritage of the area, utilizing locally sourced ingredients. In modern times, variations have emerged, with some incorporating different vegetables or spices, making it a beloved comfort food across many cultures.

Grape juice provides sweetness without alcohol, while vinegar adds acidity.

Avocado oil has a higher smoke point, while canola is often cheaper.
Prep the beef by cutting it against the grain for tenderness.
Remove any fatty parts from the beef.
Parboil the beef by adding salt and hot water, stirring to remove excess color.
Prepare the marinade with diced scallions, chicken seasoning salt, ginger paste, and garlic paste, mixing well.
Set the marinade aside while prepping the carrots, onions, and green bell peppers.
Add coconut oil to a pan and sauté the veggies for about 1 minute, seasoning with salt and chicken seasoning.
Set the sautéed veggies aside.
Add more oil to the pan and brown the beef, ensuring it steams well to avoid funny smells.
Add cayenne pepper to the beef for heat (optional).
Dilute the cornstarch with water and add it to the beef, cooking on very low heat for about 10 minutes until it thickens.
After 10 minutes, add the sautéed veggies to the beef and mix well, letting it simmer for about 30 seconds before turning off the heat.
