Boil 1 lb of cod fish in water until cooked.
Remove the cod fish from the water and set aside.
In the same water, add 6 quartered potatoes and boil until tender.
Grate the cooked potatoes and set aside.
Grate 1 onion and add to the mixture.
Add the cooked cod fish, breaking it into smaller pieces.
Add the grated potatoes to the cod and onion mixture.
Chop parsley and add to the mixture to taste.
Crack 4 eggs into the mixture and combine until well mixed, adjusting consistency as needed.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, being cautious as the cod is already salted.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan for frying.
Form the mixture into cakes and fry until golden brown.
